  Have visited with family on a few occasions over the last few months. Have always been made to feel very welcome. The beer is VERY well kept and a good selection of guest ales. Have only had the Sunday Lunch which was a 3 course (set) meal. The starters are nice although not large portions (which is good as there are 3 courses) with various choices. The main course was a choice of 3 different meats, usually pork, beef and turkey which all come with the usual trimmings. Then came the choice of puddings... there was about 8 or 9 different choices. Have always left feeling happy that I have had sufficient food and not bloated.

  Three course meal for £7.99,
  
  A nice welcome on arrival,the 6 of us were showed to a table. I had prawn cocktail it was lovely although could have done with a couple more prawns, the others had mushrooms with a garlic dip, smelt and looked delicious,they weren't disappointed.The main was a choice of three meats beef, turkey and pork, we all chose different and all were well cooked and plentiful for me, having said that my other half loves potatoes and he said there wasn't enough for him.The pudding was lovely really nice not to sweet,I had fruit sponge and custard with another one of our group,the others had ice cream.
  The downfall fall was the whole place could do with a god clean,the place mats were disgusting need throwing away and replacing with flat ones that don't hold food that's been spilt on them.The windows sills were full of old dust and bits, the patio doors were filthy not been cleaned for a long time, If we all hadn't been so hungry we would have gone else where ! such a shame as the cleanliness let the place down.They are redecorating the outside, they should pay more attention to the inside.So all in all good food shame about the hygiene and decoration.

  I found this place to be really disappointing! It is desperate for a clean, the toilets need a good scrubbing. The food is just awful. The vegetables that accompany the meals is from a bag out of the freezer. The lasagne lacked sauce, the meat pie lacked gravy making both meals completely dry and stodgy. The "homemade" chicken curry tasted like a curry powder mixed with water, and the lamb and the chicken that went in to the currys is like diced up processed meat that is not cooked with the curry but merely added later.
